Azalea Encore
Encore azaleas come in a variety of colors and sizes, with their biggest attribute being that they bloom twice a year. They should be planted in well-drained soil and fertilized and pruned on a regular schedule to keep them looking their best. Encore azaleas are especially useful for foundation beds, colorful borders, and garden areas where repeat blooms are desired. For best results, plant them where they receive good light but some protection from harsh afternoon conditions; NC State Extension recommends well-draining, moist, acidic soil with organic content for Encore azaleas.
