Cephalotaxus prostrate, commonly called spreading plum yew, is a low, graceful, spreading shrub. It grows approximately 3’ H x 4’ W and is ideally planted in afternoon shade to full shade. Its soft, needle-like texture makes it a strong alternative to more traditional shade shrubs. Use it in woodland gardens, shaded foundations, or as a low evergreen layer beneath taller plants.
